Viktor Gyokeres names six clubs he could sign for instead of Arsenal as Man Utd stance made clear

Viktor Gyokeres has seven clubs on his radar, including Arsenal.

Viktor Gyokeres has six clubs other than Arsenal on his mind as Fabrizio Romano has dropped a major update on his future.

Gyokeres has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer, with a move away from Sporting CP expected.

He's emerged as one of the leading forwards in Europe following his ultra-prolific form in Portugal's top flight, where he has scored 97 goals across two seasons.

Several clubs are keeping tabs on him, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus.

But Arsenal are the frontrunners to sign Gyokeres, who has never had Man United on his radar.

That's according to A Bola, who claim the 27-year-old was not interested in signing for the Red Devils even though they appointed Ruben Amorim last November.

Amorim had hoped to lure Gyokeres to Old Trafford following their spell together, but he was upset with how his old boss treated one player.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are still locked in negotiations with Sporting as Romano has revealed that the two clubs are 'making progress'.

"I heard that Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon are making progress in negotiations now," he said.

"There is a good chance to finalise Victor Gyokeres' deal in the coming days.”

If the Gunners, however, fail to strike a deal with Sporting, then the Swedish international could join six other teams, according to A Bola's report.

Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have emerged as potential destinations for the in-demand forward.

A move to Liverpool looks unlikely, though, considering their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike.

Speaking to France Football, Gyokeres said he will only join a club who 'really wants me'.

When asked about the next move of his career, he replied: "It’s football, you never know. I’m not thinking about it, we’ll see what happens.

"If something is going to happen, it will happen. The most important thing for me is to play for a club that really wants me."
