Manchester United could hijack Arsenal's deal for Viktor Gyokeres as a huge update has emerged.
Gyokeres has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with several powerhouses in Europe keeping tabs on his developments at Sporting CP.
Arsenal, Man United and Juventus are all monitoring his situation as they look to recruit one of the most prolific forwards in world football.
The Gunners, however, are thought to be leading the race to sign the Swedish international and are said to be closing in on an agreement.

But a potential move to Man United has not yet been ruled out.
According to Ben Jacobs, Gyokeres has 'never said no to Man United' and is still open to joining Ruben Amorim's team even without Champions League football.

Jacobs shared an insight into Amorim's plans to sign a new No.9 as he explained where the Red Devils sit in the pursuit of Gyokeres.

"With Manchester United and Gyokeres, important to mention that Gyokeres never said no to Manchester United. He was, still is, if something falls through, open to joining Manchester United without Champions League football," he told Mark Goldbridge on The United Stand.
"But Gyokeres indicating that never meant that Manchester United made an approach to Sporting. So, we've never had yet a Manchester United conversation with Sporting. No bid. It's never advanced further than the player's camp simply saying, 'If Arsenal doesn't come off, we would also be open to joining Manchester United'.
"And the ball has always been in Manchester United's court, and they've not escalated that to any kind of club-to-club talks."
On the 27-year-old, Jacobs concluded: "So, it's never been anything to get overly excited about other than the fact that if this Arsenal deal doesn't come off, Gyokeres wants to move to the Premier League and remains open to Manchester United."
Manchester United have a 'secret weapon' to hijack Arsenal's transfer of Viktor Gyokeres
Gyokeres has been backed to join Man United because his 'best friend' is Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

That's according to music star Tom Grennan, who revealed what Gyokeres said to him amid transfer speculation.
Speaking to Ronan Kemp on the You About? podcast, Coventry City fan Grennan said: "I know him well. I actually messaged him and he said that there's different conversations going on. Do you know who his best friend is? Haaland. That is why I think he'll go to Manchester United because he'll be next door to Haaland."
