Ruben Amorim has already made his feelings clear on Viktor Gyokeres after the striker reportedly rejected a move to Manchester United for rivals Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta has been desperate to bring a new striker to the Emirates this summer as the Gunners look to add more firepower into their attack.
After a drawn-out saga between Gyokeres and Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas, an initial fee of £55 million was agreed last week.
But the clubs remain locked in negotiations over the amount and structure of the add-ons, leaving the deal open to being hijacked by other interested clubs.

And reports from Portugal over the weekend claimed the deal could be set to fall through, with Manchester United among the clubs keen on the Swede.
SIC Noticias reported Amorim's side had also agreed a deal with Sporting CP at the same price as the one Arsenal had negotiated.
But English journalists were quick to dismiss those reports, insisting that Gyokeres is still set for a move to north London.
United have been linked with the Swedish striker for months but it has been widely reported that Gyokeres wants to play in the Champions League.

After losing 1-0 to Spurs in the Europa League final, United were condemned to a season without European football.
But Amorim has already spoken publicly about wanting players who were committed to United regardless of European football.
"I didn't talk to Viktor," the Portuguese said back in April.

"But if a player only wants to join Manchester United to play Champions League then that player will not come to Manchester United.
"We want players who want to represent United and not players who wanna play only certain competitions."
Manchester United have already signed one attacking player this summer in Matheus Cunha and are on the verge of a deal for Bryan Mbeumo.

To make any further signings, they now have to turn their attentions towards sales.
United still hope to offload Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, with Marcus Rashford set to join Barcelona on loan.
Although the Englishman is not securing United a transfer fee, the Catalan giants will cover his £300,000-per-week salary.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, United's priority is a new striker but they are yet to make a decision on their top target.
Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson have both been rumoured, with Garnacho a potential makeweight in either deal.
RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko remains of interest but would likely cost more than £70 million.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee remain at the club, although opportunities will be limited next season without European football.
