Man Utd star holding 'secret' talks with European giants over summer move after just two years at Old Trafford

A Manchester United star is reportedly holding talks with a European side over a potential transfer.

This season, United have been performing below par as Erik ten Hag’s side are currently sixth in the Premier League.

In the Champions League, they were dumped out at the group stage after a dismal campaign.

After a quiet January transfer window, United could set to be losing one of their stars.

According to Turkish news outlet Fotomac, Christian Eriksen could join Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray.

The Turkish transfer window is still open until this Friday and a move could reportedly happen.

It has been claimed that negotiations between Galatasary, United and Eriksen have taken place with ‘great secrecy’.

The report also stated that the Turkish side are prepared to take the midfielder on loan with an option to buy.

Although no figures have been reported, it is believed that Eriksen will join the club immediately if a deal is agreed.

If a move cannot happen this week, a ‘promise will be made’ for Erikten to join in the summer.

This season, the Danish international has made a total of 19 appearances across all competitions, scoring once and assisting two.

Eriksen’s opportunities have been limited due to the rise of youngster Kobbie Mainoo, with the 18-year-old starring in recent matches.

In their dramatic 4-3 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week, Mainoo scored a last-gasp winner to seal the victory.

Speaking after the match, the teenager said: “I can’t even describe the feeling to be honest. I mean it’s a dream come true.

“My boyhood club, such a tough game and an away game as well to a tough tough side. To come away with three points in that fashion is amazing.”

United will be back in Premier League action this weekend when they take on Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
