Liverpool are reportedly trying to hijack a Premier League club's pursuit of a Spurs player.
Despite only being appointed Liverpool head coach earlier this month, Andoni Iraola will no doubt be keen to start putting his own stamp on the Reds' squad.
Liverpool continue to be linked with RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast left winger Yan Diomande, having already reportedly seen a bid of €100 million (£87 million) rejected.
The Bundesliga side reportedly want Diomande to stay for at least another season before allowing him to leave in 2027.

Despite Leipzig's stance, journalist Lewis Steele hinted that the deal could still be confirmed in the "next day or two" on his YouTube channel.
Diomande is currently part of Ivory Coast's World Cup squad.

Meanwhile, one player who will definitely be playing for Liverpool next season is Spanish winger Victor Munoz.
Munoz joined Liverpool from Osasuna on June 17, with it being widely reported that the Merseyside club triggered the winger's €40 million (£34.6 million) release clause.
The 22-year-old looked set to sign for Premier League rivals Newcastle United before the 20-time English champions swooped in under the Magpies' noses.
While Liverpool continue to be tentatively linked with PSG and France winger Bradley Barcola, it appears they are also keen on hijacking Brighton's pursuit of Spurs defender Luka Vuskovic.
Vuskovic, 19, is currently at the World Cup with Croatia and featured in their 4-2 defeat to England. He spent last season on loan at Hamburger SV, scoring six goals in 30 appearances.
With Spurs already signing Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke, Vuskovic is seeking a new club due to the expectation of limited game time in north London.
It was widely reported that Brighton had agreed personal terms after tabling bids worth £30 million and £45 million. However, Spurs are reportedly seeking a fee closer to £60 million.
Now, according to CaughtOffside, Liverpool and their north-west rivals, Manchester United, are monitoring the situation and could hijack the Croatian's proposed move to the Seagulls.
Vuskovic, who is contracted to Spurs until 2030, is highly thought of at Anfield, with the Reds needing to fill the void left by the departure of starting centre-back Ibrahima Konate, who joined Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Jeremy Jacquet has already signed from Stade Rennais, while fellow centre-back Giovanni Leoni continues his recovery from an ACL injury.
Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Barcelona have also shown interest in Vuskovic.
What has Vuskovic said about his future?
Speaking ahead of Croatia's 1-0 win over Panama, the teenager was asked whether the speculation surrounding his future was impacting his performances at the World Cup.
He replied: "I don't think much about it. I have really good team-mates in the national team and at the club, and it's a pleasure to play with all of them.
"I'm focused on the World Cup at the moment, but my goal is to have a season at a club where I'll play, where they want me, and we'll see what happens in the coming days or weeks."
