One of the most exciting players at the World Cup could be on his way to Anfield after it was revealed he was 'thrilled' at the prospect.

Although football fans across the globe will be busy focusing on the exciting drama of the 2026 World Cup, clubs are busy preparing for next season.

The transfer window for many of Europe's top leagues remains closed, but the window officially for Premier League clubs on June 15.

Since then several English sides have been busy negotiating new deals to strengthen their squad for 2026/27, with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City all busy.

However, in the early days of the window no Premier League side has been as busy as Liverpool, who have already signed one star player while reportedly working on deals for several others.

Osasuna forward Víctor Muñoz became the first signing under new manager Andoni Iraola after Liverpool hijacked Newcastle United's move for the young winger by paying €40million (£34.5m) to trigger his release clause.

Since then, the Reds have been strongly linked with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande after having an initial bid of €100million rejected by the German club.

It is widely expected that Liverpool will bid again for Diomande, but the club could divert their attention elsewhere as a new report has claimed that PSG and France international winger Bradley Barcola is eager to make the move to Anfield.

According to French outlet Le10Sport, has reported that Barcola is ready to join Liverpool in the summer after the Reds made attempts to secure his signature in the summer of 2025.

"Bradley Barcola is thrilled by the prospect of joining the Reds", the report claims.

It adds that the 23-year-old is interested in Liverpool's project and likes the idea of playing in the Premier League.

Bradley Barcola wants to leave PSG for one clear reason

Given the fact that he's won Ligue 1 three times and the Champions League twice with PSG all before his 24th birthday, you'd be forgiven for asking why Barcola would even want to leave the French side.

However, as per Graeme Bailey, the young Frenchman has already made his mind up and has informed PSG of his desires to leave this summer.

The key reason for this is simply because Barcola feels he has now fallen out of favour with PSG boss Luis Enrique instead selecting a formidable front three of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele for their biggest matches.

The report claims that PSG's Champions League run was a 'turning point' for Barcola, who was disappointed not to start in the semi-finals or the final, pushing him to make the decision to leave the club in the coming months.

Should Liverpool believe Barcola is available, it is almost certain that the club will launch a formal pursuit in the near future, perhaps putting movements on the Diomande deal on hold.

Of course, with various reports suggesting that Liverpool are once again prepared to spend big this summer, it remains possible that all three of Muñoz, Diomande and Barcola could be signed this summer as part of another attacking overhaul.
