Liverpool are not happy with Inter Milan after their second offer for Curtis Jones was far below their asking price.
We are only days into the Premier League transfer window and Liverpool are already busy securing some of the biggest deals of the summer.
After paying €40million (£34.5m) to trigger his release clause, Osasuna forward Víctor Muñoz became the first signing under new manager Andoni Iraola after Liverpool hijacked Newcastle United's move for the young winger.
Meanwhile Liverpool's pursuit of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande continues to ramp up after their intial offer worth up to €100m (£86m) was declined by the German club.

But it's not just deals for new incomings that Liverpool have been working on in the days since the transfer window opened as several players are expected to leave Anfield over the summer.
Among them is local lad Jones, who clearly grew frustrated with the club over the 2025/26 season, falling out with former manager Arne Slot.
Throughout the season the midfielder was linked with a transfer away, with Serie A giants Inter Milan believed to be strongly interested in securing his signature.

After months of rumours, Inter Milan made their first offer for Jones, submitting an official bid reportedly worth €20 million (£17.3m), which was instantly rejected.
Just days later, the Italian side have reportedly submitted a second offer, with The Times reporter Paul Joyce writing that Inter Milan have now offered €25m (£21.6m) for the midfielder.
As expected, Liverpool swiftly rejected the increased offer, with Joyce adding that the club were 'irritated' by the 'lowball' offer, as they instead value Jones at at £35m.
Will Curtis Jones leave Liverpool this summer?
Although it is clear that Liverpool are considering letting Jones go ahead of next season, the report adds that senior Liverpool officials do not want to look weak in negotiations given the valuations placed on other midfielders in the market in recent history.
Additionally, it is believed that selling Jones for £21m would not leave Liverpool with enough money to replace him with a player of a similar quality.
Further reports have suggested that Liverpool are currently in no rush to sell Jones this summer and may wait until pre-season before considering letting him go, in case Iraola decides to keep him.
Should both Iraola and Jones be happy to work together, then there is a possibility that a new contract could be discussed, ahead of his current deal expiring in the summer of 2027, but that is something to be considered later in the year.
As it stands, there are no active discussions about extending Jones' current deal after it became clear that there was a gap between the player’s expectations and what the club are willing to offer.
Jones made 49 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring three goals and assisting another three.
