Liverpool star Cody Gakpo is of interest to several clubs, with a Premier League rival reportedly preparing a bid for the Dutchman.
Despite currently being away with the Netherlands ahead of their World Cup campaign, Gakpo’s future at club level remains uncertain.
It has been widely reported that the Liverpool forward has concerns over his role under new head coach Andoni Iraola.
Just last week, TEAMtalk claimed that the 27-year-old could be used as leverage as the Reds look to land RB Leipzig left winger Yan Diomande.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are also monitoring the player’s situation, with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich also linked after previously showing interest last summer before ultimately deciding to bring former Liverpool star Luis Díaz to the Allianz Arena instead.
Bayern also retain interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli after missing out on Anthony Gordon, who has joined Barcelona.
According to the report, Gakpo is yet to make a definitive decision on his future, although discussions are set to take place after the World Cup, with Spurs expected to formally contact Liverpool regarding a transfer.
If Gakpo were to join Spurs, he would link up with former Liverpool teammate Andrew Robertson, with the Scot joining the north Londoners on a free transfer earlier in June.
Gakpo has scored 50 goals in 180 games since arriving from PSV in 2023, with his contributions helping the Merseyside club win the Carabao Cup in 2024 and the Premier League in 2025.
Several Liverpool players have been linked with moves away from the club this summer, with Federico Chiesa and Curtis Jones’ futures remaining uncertain.
Ibrahima Konaté and Mohamed Salah’s exits have already been confirmed.
Liverpool have also been linked with several Bournemouth players, including Alex Scott, Rayan, Adrien Truffert and Eli Junior Kroupi, with the quartet having previously worked under Iraola at the Cherries.
South Korea and FC Midtjylland centre-back Lee Han-beom is also reported to be of interest to the 20-time Premier League champions.
