Thiago Silva was every Chelsea fan in the stands at Stamford Bridge last night, demanded Jude Bellingham be sent off

Thiago Silva was every Chelsea fan in the stands at Stamford Bridge last night, demanded Jude Bellingham be sent off

Silva was not happy with Bellingham's challenge on Reece James during Chelsea's Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund.

Thiago Silva proved to just be one of the fans on Wednesday night, as he showed his anguish at Jude Bellingham's challenge on Reece James.

It was a huge night for Chelsea as they defeated Borussia Dortmund to advance in the Champions League, having lost the away leg in Germany.

The turnaround meant that Graham Potter had won both the games that he reportedly had to save his job, having also defeated Leeds United last weekend.

It was a night of controversy, with some claiming VAR had 'ruined' the game after many thought a penalty shouldn't have been given, and was then retaken once Kai Havertz had hit the post with his initial attempt.

Jude Bellingham was fuming after the game but fans of the west London side weren't happy with the England midfielder, for his challenge on Reece James.

Many thought Bellingham should have seen red, an opinion clearly shared by Silva, as he watched from the stands, as you can see in the video below.

James went down in an awkward and painful looking way from the nasty challenge by his England teammate, and easily could have been injured.

The Chelsea man's fellow Blues defender Silva clearly wasn't happy with what he'd seen, shouting, "Son of a bi*ch, not my full back for the love of God, Red card!"

Certainly James has already had his fair share of bad luck with injuries, specifically when he had to miss the World Cup earlier this season.

Silva was clearly worried that the full back might be joining him on the sidelines, with the 38-year-old expected to be out until at least April with a knee injury.

Fortunately, James did get up after the challenge and was later seen chatting to Bellingham, with the Dortmund man booked for the foul.

The win certainly alleviated the pressure on Potter, who is still in the chance with winning some silverware in his first campaign at Stamford Bridge, if they can become European again.

After the game, Havertz defended the manager, saying, "We know the pressure is coming at him," he told beiN SPORTS. "You can see he is a big manager. In the media I cannot believe how many people talk about him.

"We have 100s of coaches in England that think they know better than him. We know in the changing room he's a big personality and big manager and helps us all a lot. Me included. We are 100 per cent behind him.

"Even though the people may not see it, today everybody seen he is a big manager."
