Antonio Conte could revive an out-of-favour Manchester City player’s career, having helped Scott McTominay thrive at Napoli.
Conte, 55, could see his Napoli side lift the Scudetto on Friday evening (May 23). A win would confirm them as Serie A champions regardless of Inter’s result at Como.
A key man in Napoli’s side has been former Manchester United midfielder McTominay, 28.

The Scot signed for the Italians in August 2024 and has since gained hero status in Naples by producing 12 goals and six assists in 38 games this term. This comes after his career stagnated in the Premier League.
Earlier this month, Conte gave his thoughts on why the Scot never reached his potential at United.
"He feels more complete and knowledgeable, and he's reaching a key stage in his career where he needs to decide his direction,” Conte told reporters.

“He never had a primary role at Man United, while here we gave him one.
"He's worked hard and now he's a complete player. His improvement has been shared by the whole team."
He added: “We know it would be exceptional, but we haven't done anything yet. I know football well, and we need to remain focused."
And Conte could be set to hand an out-of-favour Man City star a chance to revive his career.

It has been widely reported that winger Jack Grealish could leave Pep Guardiola’s side.
Odds have been slashed on Napoli being his next club, with Betfair offering a price of 11/4. Nottingham Forest, AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the running.
Grealish, 29, who is contracted to City until June 2027, has featured sporadically this season registering three goals and five assists in 32 appearances.
Speaking earlier this week, Pep Guardiola issued an update on the England international’s future.

Guardiola said: “We didn’t talk, I didn’t talk with him. People don’t believe me, but these things belong to the agents and the club and Txiki, and in this case, Hugo as well. Both will decide. What is going to happen will happen, but he has to come back to start to play minutes again.”
He added: “It’s not [only] Jack. There is not one player in my locker room, and I think all the locker rooms around the world, that is happy [when they] do not play. When the team is winning and winning they have to figure out how everything happens – but they are not happy. They are here to play and, when they don’t play, they are not satisfied. That is the normal position in all the clubs.”
