Kingsley Coman could be set for an awkward conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo if he joins him at Al Nassr.

After finishing in third place in the Saudi Pro League last term, Al Nassr made a managerial change by getting rid of Stefano Pioli and replacing him with former Benfica, Flamengo and Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus.

They have also been active in the transfer market, with their most notable addition being the £43.7 million capture of Joao Felix from Chelsea.

But Al Nassr are stepping up their recruitment, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that they have opened talks to sign Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.

Coman is a top target for Al Nassr as they look to add a new winger to their attacking options and club to club negotiations have now commenced.

Coman is said to have been intent on leaving Bayern last summer but ended up changing his mind, staying put and scoring nine goals as the Bavarians reclaimed the Bundesliga title.

However, the arrival of Luis Diaz from Liverpool for a fee of £65.5 million has pushed him further down the pecking order and the 29-year-old is poised to move on.

He could soon be teammates with Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic and Ronaldo - though he went on record to say he prefers Lionel Messi.

In 2022, the Frenchman took part in ESPN's 'You Have to Answer' and was asked to pick between a number of different players and subjects.

And without hesitation, he went for Messi instead of Ronaldo - who could well be his captain very soon.

Former Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus star Coman joined Bayern in 2015 and has won nine Bundesliga titles, as well as scoring the winner in the 2020 Champions League final.

Al Nassr set to complete double swoop

Coman could become Al Nassr's third major signing of the summer after they agreed a deal to sign Barcelona centre-back Inigo Martinez.

Feeling as though he is not equipped to play 50 games a season at the top level, it's claimed Martinez asked for his contract to be terminated so he can move to Saudi on a free transfer.

The Spaniard is expected to replace Aymeric Laporte and pen a one-year deal with the option of a second.
