Nottingham Forest are reportedly 'considering' sacking Nuno Espírito Santo and are already evaluating other coaches, just one game into the new Premier League season.
Espírito Santo led Forest to an unprecedented seventh-place finish last season, which secured the club European qualification for the first time in nearly 30 years.
Back in June, the Portuguese coach signed a new three-year deal at the City Ground. "I am delighted to be able to continue our journey at this fantastic football club," he said at the time.
But in a bombshell new report by Spanish publication Marca and Matteo Moretto, the former Relevo and Sky Italia reporter with over 400,000 followers on X, it is said Forest are considering Espírito Santo's future.

"Nottingham Forest is considering sacking Nuno Espírito Santo," he said. "Tensions between the ownership and the Portuguese coach, also stemming from certain signings during this transfer window."
Moretto would later refer to quotes made by Espírito Santo earlier this month, when he admitted his side are not as prepared as they should be for the new campaign.
“We are very far off in terms of the squad," he told Sky Sports.

"The plans we had didn’t work out. The preparation in terms of the squad was not ideal. We don’t know what squad we have. We have players working here who know they are going out on loan. We have a big problem.”
The reporter also claims Forest are 'already evaluating other coaches' following last weekend's 3-1 victory over Brentford.
After the full-time whistle on Sunday, a delighted Espirito Santo said it was "impossible to ask for a better start" as goals from Chris Wood [2] and Dan Ndoye sealed an emphatic opening day win.
“The boys were on fire in the way they started the game," he said. "We got the first goal to settle everything down then we had the energy from the fans and everything started to flow."

The 51-year-old added: "Today we couldn’t have asked for anymore, the City Ground was loud and bouncing, it was a beautiful day for us."
Back in May, before he signed a new deal with the club, Espirito Santo was linked with a potential departure from the City Ground.

A report from French publication Foot Mercato also mentioned 'internal tensions' between owner Evangelos Marinakis and the Portuguese coach.
"The time for change is now," the report read. "According to our information, Portuguese coach Nuno Espírito Santo could leave his position at the end of the season. This is a rather strange development considering the City Ground team are having a very good season."
