Then, in a moment of madness, one Panama player grabbed the ball, raced up to the halfway line and took a kick-off.

They ultimately failed, but it was definitely worth a punt.
Now, fan footage has emerged of three England players trying to catch Croatia out on the break with an almost identical piece of play after Mario Mandzukic's winner in the 109th minute.
Croatia eventually went on to defend their lead, but the following footage was not broadcast on television.

Twitter user Vlasta Jeseničnik gave us a glimpse of what happened just seconds after the goal went in, as three players sprinted to the centre circle.
Kieran Tripper sent England fans into meltdown when he scored a free-kick in the opening minutes of the game, but Zlatko Dalic's side managed to claw their way back into the game thanks to Ivan Perisic's toe punt.
Croatia's hero of the hour, Mandzukic, then scored the winner, catching out the sluggish England defence.
