David Beckham has hit out at a top MLS club because of their behaviour following a recent match against Inter Miami.
Ever since he helped found Inter Miami was back in 2018, Beckham has transformed the Major League Soccer side into one of the biggest outside of Europe, boasting a team of players like Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
However, despite their impressive team, Inter Miami are far from unbeatable, a fact that Minnesota United brutally reminded them of during their match last weekend.
The Western Conference side comfortably beat Beckham's side 4-1, frustrating the co-owner, who took to social media to call out the MLS club for their post-match behaviour.
Inter Miami's huge loss to Minnesota United was the heaviest that they had suffered since eight-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi joined the club two years ago.
The Argentine scored in the second half of the match but couldn't inspire his side to come back in the MLS clash.
After the match, Minnesota United took to social media to celebrate the win and tease their rivals, sharing several photos of the game alongside the caption "Pink Phony Club" referencing the colour of Miami's kit and the popular Chappell Roan song Pink Pony Club.
But this reaction clearly didn't sit well with Beckham, who quickly commented on the post, writing: "Show a little respect, be elegant in triumph."
The former Manchester United, then followed up on his original comment with another, adding: "Respect over everything."
But Beckham's frustrations didn't deter Minnesota United, who followed up their original post with another dig at Inter Miami, posting a picture of a banner that read: "History over hype, culture over cash", with the words "hype and cash" highlighted in pink.
The result leaves Inter Miami fourth in the Eastern Conference standings, while Minnesota climbed to second in the Western Conference.
Since the club's creation seven years ago, Inter Miami have won two trophies, the most recent being last season's Supporters' Shield for the best regular season record.
However, they failed to follow up on their impressive season total as they lost 3-2 at home to ninth-seeded Atlanta United in the first round of the play-offs.
