Scott McTominay produced a sensational performance against Leicester City, with his individual highlights making for brilliant viewing.

McTominay starred as Manchester United beat Leicester to register their third straight Premier League win.

He was commanding in the engine room of the pitch, showing off both sides to his game.

The Scotland international excelled in the first half, completing all of his long balls and winning all of his tackles.

He had an 82 per cent pass accuracy, completed five final third passes and completed one key pass.

He continued his impressive showing in the second half as he was commanding in the air and showed off his distribution, spraying passes all over the pitch.

A video of his performance has emerged online, with fans raving over McTominay.

One Twitter user wrote: "Fantastic performance by him. Done the shielding role to a tee."

A second tweeted: "So many hate on McTominay, This guy has been good... Keep it going Lad Erik is cooking..."

A third added: "Best game I've seen him have for United."

Another commented: "Been super since the Liverpool game."

McTominay's recent form comes after Man United have snapped up Casemiro, who has yet to start a game since his move from Real Madrid.

But the 25-year-old is learning off the experienced Brazilian ahead of potentially playing together in midfield.

"To learn from someone like him [Casemiro], who has done pretty much everything in the game, is amazing. His mentality, the way that he is so firm with everything that he does," he said.

"He’s an amazing footballer who can help us so much and be one of our main players."

Casemiro made his second appearance for Man United against Leicester and starred in midfield alongside McTominay and Eriksen.

Could Ten Hag start with the midfield that ended the game at the King Power Stadium for the match against Arsenal? Watch this space.
