Man Utd duo Alex Telles and Anthony Elanga 'wanted by Turkish giants Galatasaray'

Man Utd duo Alex Telles and Anthony Elanga 'wanted by Turkish giants Galatasaray'

There could be two players leaving Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s Alex Telles and Anthony Elanga are both targets for Galatasaray, according to reports in Turkey.

On Wednesday United announced they had completed the signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea for an initial £55million, with an extra £5million in add-ons dependent on success and appearances over several seasons.

The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract at United that runs until the summer of 2028 and has the option to be extended by another year.

Mount is United’s first summer signing, with the club now set to turn its attention to bringing in a goalkeeper and striker.

However, it has been widely reported that Erik ten Hag is working to a net spend of around £100, which means the club will look to sell well and raise funds.

Fred is allegedly attracting interest from Fulham while Dean Henderson is a Nottingham Forest target.

Meanwhile, Turkish outlet Aksam has claimed Galatasaray are looking to sign United winger Anthony Elanga and full-back Alex Telles.

The latter, who played for Galatasaray between 2014 and 2016, has been tipped for a summer move after a disappointing three-year spell at United. The Brazilian, who has one year left on his United deal, is thought to be a priority for the Turkish giants.

Indeed, one of Telles’ most notable moments while in England was when he got involved in a nasty training ground bust-up.

After falling behind Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia in the United pecking order, Telles was loaned to Sevilla for the entirety of last season.

However, his departure was also the result of a training ground bust-up with teammate Hannibal Mejbri, which occurred last May, just before Ten Hag was appointed as United manager.

Though Ten Hag was not manager at the time of the incident, he was reportedly informed of the situation and gave the green light for both Tells and Hannibal to be loaned out, with the latter joining Birmingham City.
