Punters have BACKED Manchester United to be RELEGATED from the Premier League this season at huge odds.

Erik ten Hag is in charge of the Red Devils for the 2022/23 campaign following a disastrous term last season.

Man United finished in sixth place last season, conceding a whopping 56 goals as they missed out on the Champions League.

Despite securing big wins against Liverpool and Crystal Palace in Australia, Ten Hag's team recently slumped to a defeat to Atletico Madrid and drew against Rayo Vallecano.

As a result, fans have piled on Man United to be relegated, with bookmakers William Hill reporting an 'unusual level' of backing for them to finish in the bottom three.

Man United's Premier League odds:

To win the league - 5/1

To finish in the top four - 7/4

To finish in the top half - 1/12

To be relegated - 250/1

Man United are priced at a massive 250/1 to drop out of England's top flight - with betting levels not seen before by the betting firm.

They claim Man United to be their 'biggest liability' ahead of the new season in that market.

William Hill spokesperson Tony Kenny said: "Nothing is impossible in the Premier League.

"Though Man United being relegated at 250/1 looks unlikely, we’ve seen more money for them in that market that I can remember and it currently stands as our biggest liability ahead of the new season."
