Manchester City’s preparations for this year's campaign will step up a notch as they are set to take on one of Mexico’s most successful sides, Club America.

Pep Guardiola’s side have been relatively late to the party in terms of pre-season preparations, with this upcoming clash being only their first friendly.

Their Premier League rivals and neighbouring club, Manchester United, will have already played three times before City’s clash.

It is vital that the Premier League champions get some minutes into their legs before their season kicks off against Liverpool in the Community Shield on the 30th of July.

What TV Channel Is Man City Vs Club America On? How To Stream

For viewers in the UK, the match can only be viewed exclusively on CITY+, a subscription service that shows all things Man City.

For viewers in the United States, the game will also be available on ESPN 2 whereas in Mexico, TUDN and Blim TV will broadcast the match live.

What Time Does Man City Vs Club America Kick Off?

The match is being played in the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on Thursday 21st July, with kick off at 1:30am in the UK, which is a local time of 6:30pm on Wednesday evening.

Man City Team News

City will be without John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden on Thursday, with the quartet not included in City’s 26-man squad which flew to the States.

However the tour to the US does create exciting prospects for City fans, as new signings Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Stefan Ortega Moreno and Kalvin Phillips are all likely to get some minutes.

There are a few unfamiliar faces in the City squad which travelled to America, with youngsters Oscar Bobb, Rico Lewis, Finley Burns and Ben Knight all potentially playing a role against Club America.

The club will also be debuting their new away kit, which was unveiled this week.
