Liverpool fans have finally started to turn on manager Jurgen Klopp after going 2-0 down to Wolverhampton Wanderers inside 12 minutes.

The Reds are going through perhaps their most challenging period under Klopp, who helped restore the club to its former glory after arriving in October 2015.

After challenging for the quadruple last season, Liverpool sit 10th in the Premier League table. They've also been eliminated from Carabao Cup and FA Cup, despite winning both competitions last term.

Liverpool travelled to Molineux this afternoon knowing their opponents had slipped to 18th in the table following Everton's 1-0 win over Arsenal in the early kick-off.

Things didn't get off to the best of starts. Just five minutes in, Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan drifted away from Joel Matip before trying to cut the ball back across the box.

Matip attempted to make an interception, but the ball ricocheted off his standing leg and past a scrambling Alisson into his own net.

Wolves would find themselves two goals up just seven minutes later. Craig Dawson, making his first appearance since sealing a January move from West Ham United, fired home after Cody Gakpo managed to block Max Kilman's goalbound header.

Supporters believe Klopp should be under pressure, given their horrific form this year.

One person said: "None of these players are playing for Klopp anymore. Questions need to be asked whether people wanna admit or not, no other manager would get the free passes that he does."

A second tweeted: "Klopp out. Gutted to say that but this is indefensible!"

Someone added: "Klopp has no tactics, sorry to say it but it’s time we look at his position."

While a fourth claimed: "I genuinely thought it couldn’t get worse than the Brighton game, but my god. This team is finished. Completely finished."

Prior to the game, Klopp said he'd seen signs of encouragement from his players last weekend despite losing to Brighton. He told Liverpool's official website: "Yes, it did – and no, because first and foremost we want to win football games. I think it was possible [in this] game; that's good.

"So, it was not possible in the Brighton game we played before that with the performance we put in, but that day it was absolutely possible we could've won it. [We] shouldn't have lost it, but did – that's true as well.

"After the game directly the disappointment is massive, emotions are involved. There was a moment in the [league] game where you kind of, not accept, but you know we might play them again.

"So, no problem. We made good steps in the right direction but then you concede that goal, and the way we concede it was obviously not cool. So, yeah, there are things absolutely which we can use [and] we have to use and that's what we tried. That's what we will have to show tomorrow."
