Passionate Leeds fan declares his side 'the third or fourth biggest club in England'

The feisty Leeds fanatic claimed there are only three sides bigger than his beloved side.

A passionate Leeds United fan has claimed that his club are the fourth biggest in England.

The bold claim was made on talkSPORT's Drive show, in which Leeds' fan Robert told Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent that there are only three clubs in the country who supersede the Yorkshire outfit in the all-time rankings:

"Like it or not, Leeds are the third, fourth biggest club in England. We need to get back up there."

A quizzical Bent quickly interjected to ask Leeds' fan who his top four is, with Robert's reply rather interesting, to say the least:

"I'd say Liverpool is top, that dirty Manchester team second, third Arsenal and fourth Leeds."

When asked whether he believes Leeds are bigger than Man City or Chelsea, Robert made it clear that just because the two sides "have had money in recent years" doesn't make them a bigger club than his beloved Leeds:

"Course Leeds are bigger! Go around the world, it's not even on a scale."

"If we get the right manager in rather than employing someone who got sacked by (RB) Leipzig, spending loads of money and wasn't good enough then we will be right up there."

Robert goes on to say that Leeds warrant their place in the list having been "the biggest team in the '70's" - despite the fact that Liverpool won nine major honours to Leeds' three - adding that his club have had "class teams throughout the years."

Goldstein and Bent are clearly not buying into the belief that Leeds warrant a place so high on the all-time list, but Robert isn't buying it, and sticks by his beloved Whites until the very end.

Manager-less Leeds currently sit 17th in the Premier League. The club parted ways with American Jesse Marsch after enduring a run of seven games without a win in the competition.

They face Manchester United at Old Trafford this evening, before welcoming their cross-county rivals to Elland Road on Saturday.
