Leeds United fans are scrambling to get their hands on Premier League tickets after soaking up the 'wonderful atmosphere' on opening weekend.

In case you missed it, the Peacocks defeated Everton 1-0 on Monday, August 18, and swiftly became the first Championship winners in 17 years to also win their opener.

The last time a team achieved the feat was during the 2007/2008 season, when Sunderland defeated Tottenham in a 1-0 victory on opening match day.

On Reddit, fans have been reflecting on the match, with many proud to have watched the action unfold live from the stands.

"By no stretch of the imagination, a perfect performance," one fan wrote. Another agreed, as they added: "Wonderful atmosphere in the ground."

A third simply said, "We are so back!! #MOT."

The match wasn't without its controversy though, as Lukas Nmecha took a penalty in the 84th minute, after James Tarkowski was said to have 'handled the ball' in the penalty area.
