Leak Claims Kylian Mbappe Is The Highest-Rated Player On FIFA 23

Kylian Mbappe is the highest-rated player on FIFA 23 according to a leak on social media.

The Paris-Saint Germain sensation has been the game's cover star for the last two editions and as a FIFA ambassador, is well in contention to make it a third year on the trot.

But even better for the Frenchman, FIFA news source @FUTZONEFIFA claims Mbappe will be the best player on this year's game.

It's said that the World Cup winner will see an increase of one in his overall rating - becoming a 92-rated striker.

According to the information, Mbappe has taken part in the official photo shoots ahead of the game's launch on 30 September.

If he is indeed 92 and the top dog on the game, it means he has knocked off teammate Lionel Messi, who was 93 rated last year.

He will also be above other world-class stars like Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Neymar and Mo Salah.

It would be the first time since 2007 that the top player on FIFA hasn't been named Messi or Ronaldo. On that occasion, Ronaldinho boasted the highest rating.

Mbappe will be available on loan for five games on FIFA 23 Ultimate Team as one of many perks for those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition.

Details on new features are scarce at this point but we do know that there will be a huge change allowing players to modify positions on Ultimate Team, as well as crossplay between Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Mbappe started off as a fresh-faced 17-year-old and was a 71-rated silver in his first appearance on the game in FIFA 17.

But while he's the face of the franchise, it seems his love for FIFA has died a little in recent times.

In February, he revealed he embarked on a break from FIFA Ultimate Team.

When asked by Gotaga on a Twitch stream, Mbappe replied: “I stopped playing FUT Champions because it started affecting my mind."
