Kylian Mbappe’s rise in world football has happened at a rapid pace and his FIFA rating over the years is a testament to just that.
Starring as the FIFA cover star for the second year in a row, the Paris-born prodigy has quickly affirmed himself as one of the most sought-after players in world football.
Playing in front of a home crowd week in, week out, Mbappe's exceptional form over the years has not gone unnoticed, with the Paris Saint-Germain talisman receiving huge upgrades on FIFA over the years.

On FIFA 17, Mbappe was a fresh-faced 17-year-old at Monaco and was practically an unusable player on the game, with a below a par overall rating of just 71 - including just 67 finishing.
However, after a stellar campaign for the French outfit, the forward earned a move to the Ligue 1 rivals PSG.
Mbappe’s move saw his overall rating go through the roof after it was boosted to 83, boasting 87 finishing, 89 acceleration and 90 sprint speed. How’s that for an upgrade?

Now rated an overall of 91, Mbappe has seen his pace, shooting and physical stats rise astronomically, with the star now rated one of the best players to use on the game.
Should Mbappe have a brilliant 2021/22 season with PSG, you can expect him to receive another boost to his overall rating in FIFA 23, however, he may very well be at a different club by then.
FIFA 17
Mbappe's addition to the game saw him implemented as a silver card with an individual stat of 67 shooting to his name.

FIFA 18
Mbappe's rise on FIFA was quickly noted during the 2017/18 season after he secured a staggering 12 special cards during the season and yet another TOTS to his name.

Interestingly, it was the first year that saw his weak foot boost from four to five stars.
On the face of it, the upgrade may not sound like a lot, but only a handful of FIFA's very best were equipped with the trait that year - paramount to scoring when on a player's weaker side.
FIFA 21
FIFA 21 was a huge year for Mbappe after he secured a TOTY card for the third season running, among a host of special upgrades to his name.
In addition to that, he also starred on the cover of FIFA for the first year - joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and more to earn the honour.
FIFA 22
Mbappe's rise from a silver 71 rating to becoming the fifth best player with a rating of 91 on the game is some jump.
FIFA fans can expect the 22-year-old to receive a host of in-forms come the start of the game, too, especially if he continues his stellar start to the season in the domestic and European competitions.
