Jose Mourinho is willing to sell two surprise Real Madrid players but only on one condition, it has emerged.

Mourinho is poised to be officially presented as the new Los Blancos manager this week after Florentino Perez won the club's presidential election by a comfortable margin.

Perez, Real's long-standing president, accrued 65% of the votes in the first presidential election in 20 years to feature a challenger.

He had stated his intention to bring back Mourinho for a second spell in the Santiago Bernabeu, as well as promising to make a stunning, record-breaking £130 million approach for a Galactico signing.

The 63-year-old is set to sign a three-year contract to return to Madrid and already there have been a flurry of reports of how he wants to rebuild the side after a trophyless campaign.

The arrivals of Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries are pending but there are also set to be plenty of departures at Real.

According to El Debate, youngsters Gonzalo Garcia and Franco Mastantuono could well be on the move.

Mastantuono only joined from River Plate in the summer for a fee of €45 million and played 35 times in all competitions in his debut.

His game-time reduced following the departure of Xabi Alonso and he may struggle for regular minutes if new reinforcements arrive in attack.

The same can be said for Garcia, who was promoted to the first-team last term and scored eight goals in his debut campaign.

The report notes that Real are prepared to consider multiple options for the talented duo, one being that they are willing to sanction a permanent transfer as well as a loan.

However, the club still see bright futures for both players and would insist on including a buy-back clause in any transfer.

This has been a feature of Real's transfer strategy and they are reportedly set to exercise the option to bring back Argentina international Nico Paz from Como after an impressive stint where he helped them qualify for the Champions League under Cesc Fabregas.

If they activate the clause before June 30, Real will reportedly pay just €9 million euros to bring Paz back.

Garcia could be the next player to make the move to Como in aid of his development, while Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be keen.

Jose Mourinho set to bring back ex Real Madrid favourite for second spell

Mourinho is expected to bring many members of his backroom staff at Benfica to Real but there is word that he is also looking to bring back former defender Pepe.

According to journalist Ramon Alvarez, former defender Pepe is "well positioned to become a member of Mourinho's technical staff" and there is an offer on the table.

Pepe played 334 times for Real and won three La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues, linking up with Mourinho between 2010 and 2013.

He retired in 2024 after a spell in Porto and could be set for a huge first job in coaching.
