A statistic from Marcus Rashford's impressive performance for Barcelona in the Champions League has emerged and it's hard to believe.
Barcelona got their 2025/26 Champions League campaign off to a perfect start with a thrilling 2-1 win over Newcastle United at St James' Park on Thursday evening.
After a cagey first half that saw plenty of opportunities for both sides, the match remained in the balance heading into the hour mark, with both sides eager to secure a winning goal.
However, it was Barcelona that drew first blood as summer signing Rashford opened the scoring with a header, only to double the visitors lead with a spectacular strike just 10 minutes later.

In the wake of the match, fans, pundits and players have swarmed to social media to praise the England international, with one pointing out a statistic from his spectacular performance that Manchester United fans won't be happy to see.

Following a public deterioration in his relationship with United manager Ruben Amorim, it was clear that a move away from the club was in everyone's best interests over the summer.
Several clubs were linked with the 27-year-old, including fellow Premier League side Aston Villa, who Rashford joined on a short-term loan in January, but he ultimately secured his dream move to Barcelona.

His performance against Newcastle United summed up what has been an ideal start to his time with Barcelona, with football analyst Statman Dave pointing out that he now has as many goals against Premier League sides this season as United's entire team.
Although United have scored four goals across their four opening Premier League fixtures, one in the 1-1 draw with Fulham and three in the 3-2 win over Burnley, only two have been scored by United players.

United's only goal in the draw with Fulham came as Rodrigo Muniz sent the ball into his own net following a corner kick from Bryan Mbeumo, while their opening goal against Burnley was an own goal from Josh Cullen.

Later in the match against Burnley, Mbeumo restored United's lead as he scored his first goal at Old Trafford before captain Bruno Fernandes found the back of the net to win the game after being awarded a penalty in injury time
