Marcus Rashford has a new car after being made to follow Barcelona's strict rule for players

Marcus Rashford was seen driving his new vehicle away from Barcelona training after signing on loan from Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford has been spotted with a new car in line with Barcelona's rule for all of their players.

After being frozen out by Ruben Amorim at boyhood club Manchester United, the 27-year-old has joined Barcelona on loan with the option of a £30.3 million permanent move at the end of the season.

Rashford was officially unveiled as a Barca player on Wednesday, taking the No.14 and expressing his excitement over playing for the Catalan giants before taking part in his first training session with his new teammates.

The Blaugrana are covering the full cost of Rashford's hefty wages but the club have also provided him with a new car.

Barca have an arrangement with SEAT CUPRA, which serves as its officially Automotion and Mobility Partner as has captain Marc-Andre Ter Stegen as brand ambassador, until 2029.

And as part of that, Barcelona players and staff are allowed to choose their own vehicles - including their preferred colours, wheels, interior designs, and extra equipment.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have a similar approach with Audi, with players like Harry Kane, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jude Bellingham typically expected to drive the vehicle to training.

In February of this year Barca players selected their new cars, with some even taking test drives at the Terramar Circuit.

With Rashford now in the squad, he too has been given the special company car privilege and was seen driving his CUPRA Formentor to training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

The vehicle is said to be worth around £25,000 and can reach a top speed of 155mph.

In Manchester, Rashford has driven around expensive, luxury vehicles like Audis, Mercedes' Range Rovers, Lamgborghinis, McLarens and Rolls Royces but was banned from driving for six months after driving at 104mph down the M60 in 2023.

He is said to have sold his £450,000 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ back in March while on loan at Aston Villa.

Rashford will of course have to get used to driving on the right hand side of the road as opposed to the left, with the driver's seat on the left in Spain.

Having been training alone at United's Carrington base, the England international has joined Barca on their pre-season tour of Asia and could make his debut against Japanese side Vissel Kobe on Sunday.

Rashford will have to be tight on his timekeeping in his new surroundings as manager Hansi Flick does not take well to lateness, stating that, "Being late is a lack of respect, not for me but for his teammates, the institution, and the fans".

The German changed the policy for fining players and instead lessened the game-time of those not on time.
