Barcelona player believes he has been 'misled' by Marcus Rashford transfer as details emerge in Spanish report

He is said to have 'expressed his disappointment' at the deal.

A report in Spain has detailed how Lamine Yamal has reacted to Barcelona's move for Marcus Rashford, with the teenager feeling 'misled' and 'disappointed' by the situation.

After weeks of speculation, Rashford completed his season-long loan move from Manchester United to Barcelona on Wednesday evening as the 27-year-old was presented with the number 14 shirt by Blaugrana president Joan Laporta.

The forward has already met manager Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco at the club's Ciutat Esportiva training ground on Monday and is expected join his new teammates on their pre-season tour of Asia this week.

Speaking on his arrival at the Camp Nou, Rashford expressed his excitement at the move.

"It's a club where dreams come true," he said. "They win big prizes and what the club stands for really means a lot to me. It feels like I'm at home and it's a big factor in my choice to come here. It's a family club and people are comfortable here."

The England international would go on to claim that Barcelona is "a good place for good players to showcase their skills" but a report from Spanish publication El Nacional suggests his move has not gone down well with everyone.

In fact, teenage sensation Lamine Yamal believes he has been 'misled' by Joan Laporta and Deco after being 'assured' that Nico Williams was 'the only option' they were considering to strengthen their attack.

The report goes on to claim: "When he signed his contract extension with Barca over a month ago, one of his requests was to sign his close friend, taking advantage of his release clause valued at just €58 million."

Yamal was said to be 'excited' about the prospect of playing with Williams but as we know, a deal fell through and the Spanish international penned an eight-year contract extension with Athletic Bilbao.

Barca would go on to seal a move for Rashford, who is seen by many as a solid piece of business from the Catalan giants.

But the report from El Nacional claims Yamal 'disagrees' and has 'expressed his disappointment' as he believes they 'haven't done everything possible to bring in Williams'.

"Lamine knew nothing about Rashford's signing," the outlet adds. "Lamine has also expressed his anger to Laporta and Deco for not having informed him at any time of the conversations with Rashford, nor having asked his opinion."

It is also said that Yamal wants to be involved in every decision that's made at Barcelona, just like Lionel Messi did during his spell with the club.
