Barcelona fans have had their say after watching new signing Marcus Rashford's first training session since his move from Manchester United.

After months of speculation regarding his future at United under Ruben Amorim, Rashford has officially joined Spanish giants Barcelona on a season-long loan.

Barcelona will also have the option to sign the England international on a permanent basis for £30.3million following the end of his loan spell next year.

For the duration of his loan, Rashford has agreed to take a pay cut, meaning that Barcelona have agreed to pay the entirety of his wages next season.

Speaking to Barcelona's YouTube channel after his move was confirmed, Rashford said: "I'm very excited. "It's a club where people's dreams come true, they win big prizes.

"What the club stands for means a lot for me. I feel like I'm at home."

And it appears that this sentiment is shared by fans, who were clearly impressed by official club footage showing Rashford's first training session as a Barcelona player.

Reacting to the footage on X, one Barcelona fan wrote: "I am so happy for Rashford, We now call it the Rashford Redemption."

While another wrote: "Rashford can't stop smiling! What an amazing signing by Barcelona."

And one admitted: "I knew Rashy was a Barca man the moment I first laid my eyes on him I just never thought we'd make it here."

With one claiming: "The Rashford hat trick in Barcelona shirt is going to be iconic man can’t wait."

Following Rashford's first training session on Tuesday, he is expected to be included in the squad that travels to Japan for a pre-season tour of Asia in the coming days.

His debut appearance for the club could therefore come in their friendly match against Korean side FC Seoul on Thursday in the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Rashford's first La Liga match may then come just two weeks later as Barcelona travel to face Mallorca in their first match of the 2025/26 season.
