Despite losing the Ballon d’Or to PSG star Ousmane Dembele on Monday night, Lamine Yamal was still in good spirits following the event in Paris.
Dembele had been the frontrunner for the individual accolade for some time now, having played a key role in PSG’s Champions League success.
The French forward scored eight goals and provided six assists as the Parisian powerhouse secured European glory for the first time in their history, defeating Inter in Munich back in May.
And Dembele’s award win sparked jubilant scenes in Paris despite PSG losing Le Classique to fierce rivals Marseille on the same evening.

Yamal, who won the Kopa Trophy at the start of the week having been named best youngster in the world, finished second in the main event voting, with Dembele's PSG teammate Vitinha making up the top three.
Yamal treated Laporta and Barca players to gift
However, despite the disappointment of missing out on football’s biggest individual honour, club president Joan Laporta has revealed that Yamal surprised the Barcelona contingent in Paris with a midnight burger run.
"Lamine was very happy, joking around after the gala,” Laporta said.

“He brought us all hamburgers at midnight after the gala, because we hadn't eaten anything and were all very hungry.
“[Pau] Cubarsi, some other friends, and he brought us those hamburgers. They were very good, by the way."

Laporta also spoke of his determination to find out who won the award, even going so far as pressing iconic Barcelona duo Andres Iniesta and Ronaldinho to reveal who came out on top between Yamal and Dembele.

"We didn't know who the winner was,” Laporta added.
“We spoke to everyone and asked if they knew who won: [Andres] Iniesta, Ronaldinho, [UEFA president Aleksander] Ceferin... Nobody knew. Not even the highest-ranking officials in France, whom we also asked."
Yamal's father unhappy over Dembele success
However, while Yamal was in good spirits, having won the Kopa Trophy for the second time, his father, Mounir Nasraoui, was less pleased at Dembele’s Ballon d'Or success.

Speaking to El Chiringuito, Nasraoui said: “I think this is the greatest harm, I wouldn't say theft, but moral harm caused to a human being, because I believe that Lamine Yamal is by far the best player in the world, and by far the one who makes a lot of difference.
“Not because he's my son, but because he's the best player in the world. I think there is no rival, Lamine Yamal is Lamine Yamal. It must be said that something very strange has happened here. Greetings to all of Spain, and next year it will be a Spanish ball.”
Barcelona are back in action on Thursday night as they travel to Real Oviedo in La Liga, however Yamal is unlikely to play in the midweek fixture.
The teenager, who hasn’t made an appearance since Spain’s 6-0 win over Turkey due to injury, is expected to return to action against Real Sociedad on Saturday instead as Barcelona manage his recovery accordingly.
