Mike Tyson admits he could be banned from Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury

Ahead of the blockbuster 'Battle of Britain' between golden-age heavyweight fighters Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, boxing legend Mike Tyson might be forced to watch from home.

It's the bout that the entire boxing world has been waiting for with bated breath. Yet nearly ten years after the two could have met, the two Brits are still finalising the contracts.

Thanks to the complicated arrival of Dana White in the Tyson Fury camp, the final details of the fight have yet to be signed off.

Eddie Hearn, on the side of Anthony Joshua, gave us the best update yet, claiming that there are only a few minor details left before having the contracts sealed - a lot of which Joshua includes additional 'stuff' that Joshua is expected to snub and receive a pay cut from.

The biggest hurdle left is the location of the fight, as Netflix, Saudi investors, Matchroom, and the fighters themselves are torn on where it will be held.

Should the boxers get their way, though, it will have a dramatic effect on Mike Tyson's appearance ringside.

A handful of locations have been floated for the Joshua vs Fury fight. Riyadh looks to be off the cards, with ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, leaving either New York or London.

"It's going to be a great fight. It's going to be great for boxing," Tyson told the Daily Mail, adding that he believes that the fight should be held where the attraction is highest, despite not being allowed there himself.

"Even though I can't go – I'm barred from London – I think London should get the fight," he said.

Mike Tyson isn't allowed into the UK due to his rape conviction, for which he received a six-year prison sentence. The UK Home Office applied immigration rules in 2012 that mandate refusal of entry to anyone sentenced to more than four years in prison.

Tyson was refused entry into the UK in 2013, when he was due to arrive in London to promote his autobiography.

"They're both English, and if they come [to America], all the English people are going to come anyway. So you're home already, let's do it there.

"Everybody who [wants] to be there, they are going to come to the United States - it's going to be full of English people. It's just going to be like it is over there."

Tyson recently gave a verdict on who he thinks will win, disagreeing with Usyk, who claimed that there will be a knockout.

If the fight does end up in New York, though, Tyson will likely be in attendance, potentially advertising his own upcoming fight against Floyd Mayweather.

Fury vs Joshua could be announced imminently, as Netflix let slip a surprise promo during WWE RAW last week.
