Kylian Mbappe Deleted A Post On Instagram After Failing To Secure His Dream Move To Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe Deleted A Post On Instagram After Failing To Secure His Dream Move To Real Madrid

PSG received three bids from Real Madrid for Kylian Mbappe but were determined to hold onto the Frenchman.

Kylian Mbappe deleted a somewhat cryptic Instagram post after his dream move to Real Madrid failed to materialise on deadline day.

Real submitted a third and final offer of €200 million for the Frenchman but PSG did not even respond and so Mbappe will stay in Ligue One - for now at least.

But his activity on Instagram following the failed transfer was especially interesting. Mbappe reposted a story from a friend, with the caption reading: "I respect, my brother, for your professionalism, reschedule your dreams for later, life is beautiful, you're the best."

The post was accompanied by an image of Mbappe with this thumbs up, as well as 'Dream On' by Aerosmith playing in the background.

The 22-year-old took the post down from his feed but not before plenty of people saw it. This was a rare occasion in which he addressed speculation over his future, having been fairly silent and remaining focused on producing on the pitch.

What is clear, however, is that Mbappe is absolutely desperate to move to Real.

Le Parisien reported that PSG offered Mbappe a new and improved two-year deal that would have broken the wage structure in world football.

He would have become the highest-paid player in the world, ahead of teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar - earning €45-million-a-year or €865,384-per-week.

And yet the former Monaco man rejected the mammoth proposal. In the final year of his deal with PSG, he will be able to sign a pre-contract with another club in January and move on a free transfer in the summer window.

Mbappe struck twice in the 2-0 win over Reims at the weekend and manager Mauricio Pochettino is "very happy" he is still a PSG player.

"Mbappe is our player," Pochettino said.

"The football industry is full of rumour. Our president and Leonardo are very clear.

"He is here with us and I am very happy to have him. He is one of the best, he is a gift."
