Ajax's home shirt, with the block of red running down the middle, is as iconic as some of the players who have come through the academy for the Dutch side, but their away kit for next season might be as nice as anything they've played in.

The Eredivisie side are most famous for the youth players that come from the club, with many going on to be world class, and they usually do it in style, both with their style of play and style of football kit.

On Thursday the Dutch side unveiled their new Adidas away kit for next season, and it's absolutely beautiful:

The kit, which you can already buy from the club website for €89.95, will be paired with blue shorts and blue socks and fans will be able to see it in action from September.

The Dutch top tier was one of the first leagues in Europe to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic after the country's government banned all sports until September 1st.

It's expected that the next season will kick off pretty much as early as possible once the restrictions are lifted and Ajax will take part in next season's Champions League at the play-off stages.

Last season's Champions League semi-finalists haven't been named champions, despite leading the title, as they were only ahead of rivals AZ Alkmaar on goal difference.

They have however been put forward as the club who will go into the play-off rounds of the Champions League qualifiers, meaning they only have to play one two-legged tie to qualify for the group stages.

Alkmaar will enter the tournament at the second qualifying round, meaning they'll have to play three two-legged ties to get into the competition proper.

Arne Slot's side have complained that they should have been put into the later stage having beaten their more illustrious rivals twice in the league this season.
