
Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford is a man in demand as the summer transfer window creaks into action.
Rashford was named in the England squad for the World Cup, where he will where the number 11 shirt when the Three Lions take on Croatia, Ghana and Panama in the United States this month.
The 28-year-old, who was bombed out of his boyhood club during Ruben Amorim's shambolic period as head coach, has rebuilt his career with successful loan spells with Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Catalan titans Barcelona, where he spent the entirety of the 2025-26 season and won his first league championship.
While Rashford has three years remaining on his Old Trafford contract, Man Utd have apparently indicated a desire to strike while the transfer iron's hot and sell him to one of five clubs understood to be interested in him.

The i Paper claims that Barcelona are willing and able to do a deal despite the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United. The Blaugrana want Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid but their La Liga rivals have no intention of selling the Argentina striker to the league champions.
North-west football correspondent Pete Hall reports that 'no decision' has yet been made by Barca, who have just under two weeks to make use of their option to buy Rashford for £26 million.
"Sources in Spain indicated Barca simply do not intend to come close to that figure, and will let the deadline pass before revisiting," reports Hall.
Bayern Munich are 'assessing the situation', which includes the possibility of another loan if none of the interested clubs can be tempted to meet Rashford's wage demands.
A third Premier League club is one potential outcome for the England man.
"At least three Premier League clubs are understood to be monitoring the situation," reports Hall.
"One source added Newcastle could turn to Rashford as a replacement for Gordon, even if it does not fit into the overall recruitment policy of the club.
"Aston Villa could also re-sign the forward who spent the last half of the 2024-25 season at Villa Park."

The exiled United star scored four goals in 17 appearances in all competitions during his half-season at Villa in 2025.
At one point unseating the club's record Premier League scorer, Ollie Watkins, Rashford helped Unai Emery's team reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League and secure a place in the Europa League.
Villa went on to win that competition but Rashford spent the year in Spain, winning La Liga and making 11 appearances in the Champions League.
Rashford scored 14 goals in 49 matches in all competitions.
