Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne scored an outrageous goal to draw level against Real Madrid in their Champions League clash.

The Belgium maestro picked out the bottom corner with a delightful strike from distance to make it 1-1.

Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan combined brilliantly to create an opening, before the German midfielder slid a pass to De Bruyne.

From there, he made no mistake as he struck a first-time effort from outside the box into the back of the net.

After the 31-year-old registered his 10th goal of the season in all competitions, he cut an emotional figure as he was almost reduced to tears.

Naturally, De Bruyne's incredible strike got fans online talking.

One Twitter user wrote: "Ridiculous goal from De Bruyne."

A second tweeted: "Name a better Midfielder on the field than Kevin De Bruyne."

A third added: "Special player. Take a bow KDB."

A fourth referenced Vinicius Junior's opening goal, stating: "Both of the goals tonight have been utterly ridiculous. Such clean strikes, hit so hard and with such precision. We are witnessing greatness."

Another praised Rodri: "Rodri creates this goal. One of the best cdms itw."

Real and Man City will renew hostilities next Wednesday when they meet at the Etihad for the second-leg, with the tie evenly balanced.
