Insane Kevin De Bruyne compilation proves he truly is a Premier League great

Kevin De Bruyne delivered yet another clutch performance in Manchester City's 4-1 hammering of Arsenal on Wednesday night.

The Belgian midfield maestro bagged a brace as well as an assist in an outstanding Man of the Match display in the top-of-the-table clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Opening the scoring early on before laying on the cross for John Stones and combining with Erling Haaland again for the third, De Bruyne made it seven goals and 16 assists in the Premier League this season as City moved two points behind the Gunners with two games in hand.

It was another stellar outing from the two-time PFA Player of the Year, who constantly produces on the big occasions when his team needs him.

And if anyone needed any further evidence of what a big game player the former Chelsea man is, look no further than the below compilation of his many masterclasses against the top six.

Incredibly, since returning to English football in 2015 with a £54 million move to City from Wolfsburg, De Bruyne has a staggering 50 goals and assists against the Premier League's big guns.

Every single one is captured in a seven minute highlight reel, which only proves that De Bruyne will go down as one of the very best to do it.

Some of the defence-splitting passes and crosses are just jaw-dropping and the strikes from distance with either foot are simply stunning.

We're talking about a world-class footballer who has been consistently turning up in high-pressure scenarios for the best part of seven years now.

David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure all did amazing things for City but De Bruyne is well on his way towards going down as the club's greatest ever player.

But unfortunately, after such a fine night on the pitch, De Bruyne was unable to properly celebrate the Arsenal rout with his teammates as he had to conduct "about 15 interviews" with various media outlets.

By the time he got to the dressing room, most of his teammates had disappeared.

City are back in action on Sunday against Fulham and can move to the top of the table with a victory. Arsenal do not play this weekend and instead host Chelsea on Tuesday at the Emirates.
