“I can’t get anything over that geeza” - Jude Bellingham shares record with friend Erling Haaland

Bellingham made Champions League history with his goal in Borussia Dortmund vs Sevilla but had to share a record with Erling Haaland.

Jude Bellingham was left feeling like all of Erling Haaland's opponents, frustrated to hear of the Manchester City striker's record, after equalling the striker's Champions League milestone.

It was a great night for Bellingham who was handed the captain's armband for Borussia Dortmund for the second match in-a-row, despite being just 19-years-old.

Being named captain for the game against Sevilla actually made him the first English teenager to be given the honour in the competition, for any game.

He celebrated the achievement with a goal, which actually made him just the second teenager in the tournament's history to score in the first three games of a campaign, and he couldn't quite believe it that the first was former Dortmund teammate, Haaland, as you can see in the video below.

Dortmund opened their European campaign this season with a home game against FC Copenhagen, with a 3-0 win against the Danish side.

Bellingham got the third goal of the game, after Marco Reus and Raphael Guerreiro had given the team a demanding first half lead.

The 19-year-old and his teammates were then reunited with Haaland in their second game of the group, facing Manchester City at the Etihad.

He opened the scoring for the Germans, getting on the end of a shot-cum-cross from Reus, after a corner had been cleared, running in behind the defence to head home.

His goal looked to have been enough to earn Dortmund an unlikely win, before John Stones brilliant shot from outside the area made it 1-1.

As is now inevitable, Haaland then grabbed the winner with a kung-fu-esque finish straight out of the Zlatan Ibrahimovic handbook, in the 84th minute.

With lots of speculation about the midfielder's future, Haaland shared a moment with his ex colleague and possibly told the midfielder to join him at City.

That hasn't caused a distraction for the former Birmingham City star and he scored the second of the night on Wednesday, having set up the first.

Bellingham made a brilliant run, before bamboozling three defenders, and then slotting home into the opposite corner, to equal Haaland's record.

"You’re only the second teenager in the Champions League who scored on the first three match days. Do you know who is the first one?" the interviewer asked Bellingham about his newly earned record.

"English teenager or any teenager?" he asked back.

The interviewer tells him, "Any teenager," with the Dortmund star understandably guessing Kylian Mbappe.

"You know him very well," the midfielder was told.

"Erling!" Bellingham realises, "Yeah, of course. Can’t get anything over that geezer at the minute, I swear to god. Sums him up!"

It certainly does sum the Norwegian up, who followed up his third Premier League hat-trick, against Manchester United at the weekend, with a double vs Copenhagen on Wednesday, still overshadowing his ex teammate.
