Stunning Spanish model Georgina Rodriguez ruled out one potential transfer destination for Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of him leaving Manchester United.

Ronaldo, who inked a lucrative deal with Al Nassr, made his controversial exit from Old Trafford last November after his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner criticised United manager Erik ten Hag and the Glazer family, as well as pulling no punches towards his former club teammates.

Ronaldo claimed in January at his Al Nassr unveiling that he received “many opportunities” from around the world, including transfer offers from Europe.

“As nobody knows, I can say now I had many opportunities in Europe, many clubs in Brazil, Australia, the US, even in Portugal, many clubs tried to sign me,” he said at the time.

Ronaldo was reportedly linked with La Liga side Atletico Madrid last summer after the uncertainty surrounding his United future ahead of the 2022-23 season.

A transfer to the La Liga club seemed highly unlikely for the 38-year-old Portuguese forward due to Ronaldo’s illustrious playing spell at Real Madrid.

Rodriguez, who met Ronaldo during her time in the Spanish capital, has been the subject of the 2022 Netflix documentary ‘I Am Georgina,’ with the second season to debut on Friday.

According to Marca, the 29-year-old Spanish model and influencer has now swiftly dismissed the notion that Ronaldo had any plans to sign for Atletico.

“That option has never been in his mind,” she told Spanish TV show El Hormiguero.

Atletico manager Diego Simeone firmly shut down speculation over Ronaldo after calling the United legend the “absolute benchmark” for his side’s fierce rivals.

“Cristiano Ronaldo for Atleti? Ronaldo is an absolute benchmark for Real Madrid,” he told Tigo Sports last October.

“I wouldn’t see Martin Palermo or [Juan Roman] Riquelme playing in River Plate or [Ariel] Ortega in Boca Juniors. That is very clear.”
