Kobbie Mainoo is one of the most wanted cards on EA FC 24 but it's 'impossible' to use him on FUT

Man Utd's highly-rated midfielder has one of the most exciting Evolutions in this year's game.

Kobbie Mainoo may have benefited from EA FC 24 Evolutions – a new feature introduced in Ultimate Team – but players are finding it almost 'impossible' to find him on the FUT marketplace.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who is rated highly by Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, has been given the chance to evolve on FUT alongside a host of up and coming Bronze cards.

So what is an Evolution? Gamers can upgrade and evolve their players by committing them to an Evolution slot and completing gameplay challenges with that player, according to EA's official website.

Once you complete the challenges, that player will have permanent upgrades. Basically, Evolutions is a new system that allows you to change how you think about and build your squad on the Ultimate Team game mode.

"For the first time, you'll be able to improve and customise players from your club," EA add.

"You can take your favourite lower-rated players from any club and level them up, as well as tweak and customise your top players by adding skill moves, changing work rates and weak foot upgrades as a few examples."

Leeds United teenager Archie Gray, a 64-rated LW card with the 'long ball pass' PlayStyle, is a popular Bronze pick amongst gamers, as is Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham.

And following his breakthrough at Old Trafford, many want to get their hands on the 62-rated Mainoo, who has a Golden Up Glow Up evolution of 78, 79 and 83-rated.

As you can see in the screenshot below, Mainoo's Glow Up has a number of standout attributes for a CDM, including 99 balance, 95 agility and 93 jumping.

But many have been unable to use the 18-year-old in-game as his status on the FUT transfer market has been extinct at times, with many failing in their attempts to snipe him on that very rare occasion he does pop up.

One fan commented on their inability to buy Mainoo in-game, saying: "I just tried sniping Mainoo and it’s literally impossible. I was so fast and still can’t get him. Gonna have to open bronze packs."

A second wrote: "The day Mainoo isn’t extinct it’s game time," while another said: "Would be lovely if I could just Snipe Mainoo on EAFC. Need my Yaya Toure regen."

A fourth commented: "Don’t think I’ve opened so many bronze packs all I want is Mainoo."

A fifth added: "Yea just can’t get a damn Mainoo. He’s been extinct for days."

At the time of writing, there isn't a single Mainoo card on the Ultimate Team market, according to FUTBIN, with many owners clearly waiting for the perfect time to sell up.
