Wrexham are looking to compete with a top flight club for the signing of a Ukrainian international, it has been claimed.
The north Wales club, backed by Hollywood film star owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, are expected to spend big this summer as they prepare for a campaign in the second tier for the first time since 1981/82.
And according to Ukrainian publication Sport.ua, defender Maksym Talovierov is on their list of targets upon being relegated from the Championship with Plymouth Argyle.

Turkish side Trabzonspor and fellow Championship outfit Derby County are also thought to be interested.
Talovierov is said to be seriously considering leaving Plymouth, with his contract allegedly including a termination clause in the event of relegation.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkison said, in the wake of the club’s promotion clinching win over Charlton Athletic, that next season in the Championship will be a “huge” challenge.

However, he promised fans that they will do their best to “build a squad that can be competitive.
"We've got a lot of work to do this summer because we know we're going into a huge division in terms of the stature of the clubs in it," Parkinson told the BBC.
"We'll take a week or two to take stock of everything, have a good look at the market out there and what we need to do."

When asked to rate Wrexham’s chances of reaching the Premier League, having already secured three successive promotions, Parkinson said: "I'll answer that question come August, at the end of the summer transfer window, and see what the squad looks like.”
He continued: "We haven't spoken about anything in terms of recruitment.
"Agents obviously ring all the time, and I've been saying, 'Look, we're not looking at recruitment until the end of the season'... because when you start speaking to players at this stage you can destabilise your own dressing room."
