Wrexham have announced that a former Premier League winner will play for them in an exclusive pre-season tournament set to get underway in the coming days.

Having secured promotion for the third successive season after finishing second in the League One table, Wrexham are currently riding what seems to be an unstoppable wave.

But in order to survive in the Championship, the Red Dragons are going to have to ensure they are playing at the peak of their ability, while also signing some proven talent from England's top divisions.

And it seems that they are well aware of this, as Wrexham have officially entered an exclusive pre-season tournament with three Premier League players included in their squad, one of whom won the title in the famous 2015-16 season.
