A scene from the last episode of Welcome to Wrexham has shed new light on Paul Mullin's reaction to being dropped by manager Phil Parkinson.
Mullin joined Wrexham from Cambridge United in 2021 and has been instrumental in the Welsh club's success in recent years.
He scored 110 goals in 172 games across all competitions and helped them win promotion from the National League to the Championship in successive seasons.

Despite being Wrexhams's main man during the first two promotions under the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, they have sanctioned his departure ahead of the 2025/26 season.
He has joined Wigan Athletic on loan, with co-owner Reynolds issuing a heartfelt message on social media in the wake of his transfer.
A move away from the Racecourse Ground was on the cards following Mullin's bit-part role for Wrexham last season.
He started just nine League One games, scoring three goals.

Minutes on the pitch dried up after Wrexham recruited forwards Sam Smith, who is believed to have joined for a club-record fee, and Jay Rodriguez, who also joined for an undisclosed fee, during the January transfer window.
Mullin, naturally, was hurt by Parkinson's decision to drop him.
But, according to The Athletic, he handled himself well. A scene from the last episode of Welcome to Wrexham shows Mullin speaking to his performance coach about his axing in a coffee shop.

Per the report, 'the producers got far more than would surely have been the case with a more formal interview to camera'.

Parkinson won't have Mullin's services to call upon next season, with the 30-year-old set to play under Wigan boss Ryan Lowe.
The Wrexham boss believes the loan move is a good opportunity for him to get back to playing regular first-team football.

"I’d like to wish Paul all the best for his loan move," he said.
"It’s a good opportunity for him to get back to playing regular first-team football and I’m sure he’s going to be a great signing for Wigan Athletic."
