The clubs across Europe who are set to take part in a revamped Club World Cup have been revealed.

The United States of America will be the host nation for the event, which will kick-start in 2025 from June to July, following a series of changes to the competition.

The current format allows for the winner of the UEFA Champions League to automatically qualify for the tournament, which is usually held in the winter.

With the remainder of the teams being made up of the winners from other football federations such as CONCACAF, AFC, CAF, CONMEBOL and OFC.

However, these rules are now set to change, with 32 teams now set to compete in the competition, which includes 12 teams from Europe.

The change will include previous winners of the Champions League from 2021 to 2024, which will mean Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City will all take part.

Speaking on the changes, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said: “The Fifa Club World Cup 2025 will be the pinnacle of elite professional men’s club football, and with the required infrastructure in place together with a massive local interest, the United States is the ideal host to kick off this new, global tournament.

“With some of the world's top clubs already qualified, fans from every continent will be bringing their passion and energy to the United States in two years' time for this significant milestone in our mission to make football truly global."

The remaining clubs that are also set to take part in the revamped tournament have also been revealed, as shown by the table below.

Currently, Ajax are set to be included in the list of clubs involved in the tournament, providing Arsenal, FC Copenhagen or PSV Eindhoven do not win the Champions League this year.

If the Gunners do win their inaugural European Cup, it would get them a ticket to the tournament, which previous reports indicated could be worth up to £50 million to participating teams.

The 2023 Club World Cup is set to take place in Saudi Arabia from December 12 to the 22nd.
