Sky Sports reporter calls out Daniel Levy over Harry Kane transfer while live on-air

One reporter is not impressed.

German football reporter Florian Plettenberg took aim at Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy over the Harry Kane transfer saga while live on-air.

Bayern Munich are desperately trying to complete a deal for Kane before the season gets underway, with Spurs rejecting an offer reportedly worth over €100 million for the England captain.

Such a fee would have represented a club-record transfer for Bayern if the move had gone through, but Thomas Tuchel's side now must return to the drawing board.

Kane will not be involved in Spurs' friendly against Barcelona on Monday, but Sky Sports claim he is believed to be happy at the club working under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

They add that Kane staying at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is now more likely - although Bayern are not giving up.

Plettenberg, who works for Sky Sports Germany, has been covering the Kane transfer saga from Bayern's perspective, with the Bundesliga champions needing a new striker.

With the deal still not complete, however, Plettenberg has got restless - and even addressed Levy himself while live on-air.

He said: "Daniel Levy, if you see this, finally accept the offer so that the transfer gets done!

"It's not progressing and it's getting annoying. It even annoys me."

Plettenberg's pleas will likely be ignored, however, with Levy understandably keen to keep hold of Spurs' prized asset.

As per the Daily Mail, the chairman ignored Bayern's deadline for accepting their latest Kane offer, and subsequently flew to the United States. The offer was later rejected.

Kane's contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium expires next year, meaning that Spurs will have to find a resolution to the saga one way or the other before the transfer window closes.

One resolution could be to convince the 30-year-old to agree to a new contract in north London - which would be a significant boost for new boss Postecoglou.
