NFL legend Tom Brady did not hold back when Kate Scott confused his Birmingham City investment with Wrexham AFC.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion became a part-owner of the Midlands club in the summer of 2023, when he entered into a partnership with Knighthead Capital Management LLC.
He became the latest American celebrity to invest in English football after Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney completed a full takeover of Wrexham in February 2021.

Alongside the popular series 'Welcome to Wrexham,' the pair have overseen three successive promotions to take them from the National League to the Championship.
But in the aftermath of the Champions League final on CBS, Kate Scott confused Brady's interest in English football.
In reply, Brady said: "We kicked Wrexham's ass this year, multiple times."

The sides faced each other twice this season, with Birmingham beating 3-1 at St Andrew's in September.
But there was nothing to separate the sides at the Racecourse in January, with the game ending 1-1.
Ultimately, Birmingham City were promoted as champions, breaking the EFL all-time points record in the process, as they finished on 111 points.
Wrexham still won promotion as they finished runners-up, but were 19 points behind the Blues.

How has Brady's investment with Knighthead been so far?
The first season of Brady's co-ownership was disastrous as Birmingham were relegated from the Championship for the first time in 30 years.
But the ambitious ownership group invested in the squad, breaking the League One transfer record to sign striker Jay Stansfield from Fulham for more than £15m.

And with Chris Davies, a man who was worked under Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou, in charge, they stormed to the title.
But the club remain highly ambitious, with plans in place for a new 60,000 capacity stadium, as they target a return to the Premier League.
Although the NFL legend only owns around 3% of the club, he has an advisory role on the club's board.

How have Reynolds and McElhenney transformed Wrexham AFC?
They took over at the historic Welsh side at the beginning of 2021, but finished outside the National League play-off places.

And they missed out on promotion again in their second season, losing in the semi-final.
But in the summer of 2022, Welcome to Wrexham premiered, acting as the springboard to an unprecedented run of consecutive promotions.
They won the National League in 2022/23, before finishing second to secure promotion from League One at the first time of asking in 2023/24.
And the promotion run continued this season, as they won the league convincingly.
