Wrexham are reportedly attempting to smash the Championship transfer record - by submitting a staggering £19 million bid.
Phil Parkinson's side currently sit 11th in the Championship table, having picked up 41 points from 28 games.
They are just two points behind sixth-placed Preston North End, who occupy the final play-off spot.
Majority co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have splashed the cash during Wrexham's first season in the second tier.

They secured a deal that could rise to £10 million to sign Wales striker Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich, alongside a £7.5 million move for Manchester City centre-back Callum Doyle.
The Red Dragons are able to fund such extravagant signings primarily because of owner investment, but also because of their significant revenue.
And according to Football Insider, Wrexham will return to the negotiating table this month with a staggering Championship-record bid.
It is claimed that they are set to launch a £19 million move to sign striker Sidiki Cherif from Ligue 1 side Angers.
Cherif, 19, has scored four league goals in 18 French top-flight appearances this season.

There is also reported Premier League interest in Cherif from Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Sunderland.
He is a centre forward by trade but can also play in wide areas, which is likely where he would be deployed at first under Parkinson.
Kieffer Moore has scored 10 goals in 25 Championship appearances for Wrexham this season, with Cherif able to operate either alongside him or out wide.
Parkinson primarily played a 5-3-2 formation during Wrexham's rise up from the fifth tier of English football, but has often utilised a 3-4-3 or 5-4-1 system this season.
The current Championship transfer record belongs to Norway international Sindre Walle Egeli, who signed for Ipswich Town for £17.5 million in the summer of 2025.

The 19-year-old forward has scored two goals in 20 appearances for Kieran McKenna's side.
It will not come as a major surprise to learn that all 10 of the Championship's record signings have been made since 2017, given the increase in Premier League parachute payments and in owner investment into clubs desperate to reach the top flight.
Wolves' £15.8 million acquisition of Ruben Neves in 2017 held the record for seven years before Burnley spent £16 million on Mike Tresor - a deal that had already been agreed prior to their Premier League relegation.
