Wrexham are set to make an unprecedented move under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they look to strengthen their squad for a historic season in the Championship.
The Red Dragons achieved a feat that no other team has ever managed in England by securing three promotions in a row under Phil Parkinson.
Wrexham finished second in League One with 92 points and will now play in the second tier for the first time since 1982.

With plenty of players released, Wrexham are poised to bring in a raft of new players this summer and are said to have around £30 million to spend this summer.
Having brought in Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle as their first signing, they have been linked with a number of established Premier League stars including Ben Davies, Craig Dawson, Danny Ings and Aaron Cresswell.

But a fresh report claims they are looking 'Down Under' for a new addition. According to news.com/au, Wrexham are one of three clubs to have interest in Melbourne Victory midfielder Ryan Teague.

The 23-year-old has caught the eye of the Welsh outfit, who also face interest from Gent and KV Mechelen.
Teague came through the ranks of the academy at Sydney FC and moved on to Portugal, turning out for Famalicao and Sporting da Covilha.
He then returned to Australia in 2023 and signed for Victory, where he has played 54 times across two seasons.

Since Reynolds and McElhenney acquired the club in 2021, they have only signed players from the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Teague would be the exception and if he was to sign, he could come up against Victory early on as Wrexham embark on a tour of Australia and New Zealand where they will play the four-time A-League Championships, Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix.
Reynolds also pitched Wrexham to have a fourth game and come up against Auckland FC, who have only existed since 2024.
Auckland won the A-League Premiership in their first season and Reynolds wanted a historic showdown which was instantly shot down by Parkinson due scheduling concerns.

“I really wanted us to play Auckland FC, which is a new team, and they finished first in their first year,” Reynolds said on the Men in Blazers podcast.
“I just liked the idea of the third-oldest football club playing one of the newest, but Phil was like ‘absolutely not, we’re getting these players back to Wales ASAP after Wellington’."
