The second Real Madrid player to depart the club this summer has been confirmed amid Xabi Alonso's expected arrival.
It has been a horrible season for Los Blancos as they failed to win a domestic trophy, losing the La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de Espana to fierce rivals Barcelona.
The only trophy Madrid won this season was the UEFA Super Cup back in August 2024.

As a result, it is set to be a big summer of changes for the Spanish giants.
Carlo Ancelotti will leave the Bernabeu to take over as manager of the Brazilian national team, with ex-player Alonso expected to replace the Italian.
In terms of players coming in, Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen and Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold are suggested to be closing in on a move to the Spanish capital.

However, a long-serving player is set to depart.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Lucas Vazquez will leave Madrid in July.
He wrote on social media: "BREAKING: Lucas Vázquez’s set to leave Real Madrid in July, plans confirmed.
"After FIFA Club World Cup, Lucas will leave the club ready for new chapter as free agent; it's all decided."

Romano added: "Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dani Carvajal will be the right backs at Real Madrid for season 2025/2026."
As well as Vasquez, long-serving midfielder Luka Modric has also decided to leave the club.
He wrote on Instagram: "The time has come. The moment I never wanted to come, but that's football, and in life everything has a beginning and an end... On Saturday I will play my last match at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"Playing for Real Madrid changed my life as a football player and as a person. I am proud to have been part of one of the most successful eras of the best club in history.

"Although, after the Club World Cup, I will no longer wear this shirt on the pitch, I will always be a Madridista."

Vazquez worked his way up the youth ranks in Madrid before making his senior debut in 2015.
He went on to captain the side and has made a total of 399 appearances across all competitions, scoring 38 goals in the process.

The Spaniard also won five Champions Leagues and four La Liga titles, among other trophies.
In recent days, Madrid have been linked with a move for Benfica full-back Alvaro Carreras.
Taking to social media, Romano delivered a brief update on the situation.
He wrote: "Alvaro Carreras wants to join Real Madrid and his plan has not changed. No bid or club to club talks yet but understand Real will approach Benfica after Taça de Portugal final to reach an agreement.
"Carreras has already agreed terms with Real, as @SrNaninho reported."
