Man Utd Fan Refusing to Cut His Hair Instantly Responds to Forest Draw

United fought back from behind to a 2-2 draw away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Manchester United supporter who has pledged not to get a haircut until the team win five consecutive games has responded to the Red Devils’ 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Frank Ilett, who runs the social media account The United Strand, promised not to get his hair cut until his beloved United won five games in a row back in October 2024.

Now, over one year on, the Red Devils are yet to achieve the feat, meaning the internet sensation has a rather interesting hairstyle.

But over the past few weeks, Ruben Amorim’s side’s fortunes had improved with wins against Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton ahead of Saturday’s clash against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Earlier this week, United goalkeeper Senne Lammens discussed Ilett’s challenge when he spoke to Sporza and claimed that he hoped the side could win the next two matches so he could finally shave his hair.

But it wasn’t to be for United or Ilett, as the side fell to a 2-2 draw against Sean Dyche’s Forest.

Ilett, who is from Oxford but lives in Spain, may have thought his side were on for the win when Casemiro opened the scoring, but the home side struck back via Morgan Gibbs-White on 48 minutes, ahead of Nicolo Savona’s strike on 50 minutes.

United did level the scores through Amad’s volley on 81 minutes to take a point, but this will be little consolation to Ilett, who remains with his "afro-style" hair for a while longer.

And it didn’t take long for the internet personality to respond. Shortly after the result, he took to Instagram, posting a graphic of the full-time result with the words “Absolute Heartbreak".

Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester earlier this season, Ilett revealed that he wanted to finally get his haircut at Old Trafford once the side had put together a run of five wins.

"I'm hopeful that maybe by the end of the year, maybe I'll get a haircut," he said.

"The perfect ending would be one of the players to cut it at Old Trafford."

Now, the nearest date he could get his haircut would be December 8, but this would mean United would have to beat Spurs, Everton, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Wolves.
