Ruben Amorim is reportedly being courted for a swift return to management just over a month after being sacked by Manchester United.
After a dire run of form, Amorim was given the boot by United on 5 January following a 1-1 draw with Leeds United at Elland Road and succeeded by interim boss Michael Carrick.
Amorim reportedly received around £12 million in compensation after being dismissed and has been enjoying life away from the stresses of management.
However, fresh reports claim that he could be set for a fairly imminent return to the dugout, with Amorim one of the leading contenders for the vacant manager's job at Brazilian side Vasco da Gama.

On Sunday, Vasco parted company with former Brazil manager Fernando Diniz on Sunday after their poor start to the season continued with a 1-0 defeat to Fluminense.
They are now on the hunt for a new manager, with Portugal pair Artur Jorge and Amorim both in the frame according to supervasco.com.

Leonardo Jardim was also named as a target but is not seen as a realistic possibility. Jorge is the preferred choice and Vasco are willing to offer a significant salary - though they would also need to negotiate a release clause as the former Braga boss is currently in charge of Qatar side Al Rayyan.
Amorim, however, is free on the market after his exit from United and could the job as an opportunity to rebuild his reputation.
The 41-year-old developed into one of the most highly-rated and sought-after coaches in world football after winning two league titles with Sporting CP but the difficulties at United did not do him any favours.
He has also been linked with a number of managerial jobs, including Benfica, who he played for during his playing career.
Jose Mourinho took the reins at his former club back in September but is not expected to stay beyond this season.
As per ESPN, Benfica expect Mourinho to leave ahead of his contract and finally achieve his dream of managing the Portugal national team - with Roberto Martinez set to move on after the World Cup.
ESPN say that Amorim has “significant support” among the club’s top brass and is therefore a top candidate.
