Manchester United have made a decision on the futures of three players as the end of the 2024/25 season nears.

Man United have had a poor season, with both Erik ten Hag and current head coach Ruben Amorim finding life at Old Trafford tough.

The Red Devils sit 15th in the Premier League after 35 games having lost 16 matches and won just ten with their latest disappointment coming in a 4-3 loss away against Brentford on Sunday (May 4).

United’s current squad is arguably not suited to Amorim’s distinctive 3-4-3 formation, which means several players could move on while others will likely arrive at United this summer.

The Portuguese welcomed 18-year-old central defender Ayden Heaven and 20-year-old full-back Patrick Dorgu in the winter transfer window, but needs more top-class and experienced players if he hopes to challenge for silverware next season.

A player who could depart is United captain Bruno Fernandes, the 30-year-old has been a standout in an otherwise poor side this term.

According to Saudi Arabian journalist Abdullah Al-Hunayan, Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have held talks with Fernandes' agent and lawyer over a possible transfer before the start of the Club World Cup on June 14.

However, Amorim has already rubbished talk of a potential exit as he explained that he wants “Bruno here because we want to win the Premier League again” when questioned back in March.

But as reported by the Manchester Evening News, several first-team and academy players will depart this summer, including Jack Kingdon, Sam Murray and James Nolan.

Nolan, 19, Murray, 20, and Kingdon, 19, are all out of contract at the end of the season and have not been offered fresh terms.

Kingdon was close to signing for INEOS-owned Swiss club Lausanne earlier this season, but instead, signed for National League Rochdale on loan.

Last summer, Nolan was loaned to Scottish side Inverness Caledonian Thistle and has gained valuable experience in Scottish League One, having made 33 appearances this term.

While left-back Murray has continued to develop as part of United’s Under-21 side and recently captained the side as well as scoring in the PL2 play-offs against West Ham on Monday (May 5).
